LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Cuban culture celebration returns to Louisville, with a Gala and outdoor festival.
Sweet Havana hosted its second annual “Carnavales de Sweet Havana” over the weekend.
The festival is an event to celebrate Louisville's Cuban community, cultures, flavors, and traditions.
Last year’s festival was a one-day carnival held outside the Sweet Havana restaurant in Hillview.
Following the success of the inaugural festival in 2024, the carnival expanded to a two-day outdoor event at Fourth Street Live!
The celebration began Friday with “Ritmo y Raíces” (Rhythm & Roots), the exclusive welcome gala.
Saturday and Sunday were full of live music, cultural performances, art, and Cuban food.
The event is expected to bring out 5,000 attendees and will host over 20 vendors and exhibitors.
