100 volunteers from local unions, community groups, and businesses will gather at Metro United Way's 15th Annual Boxes of Love to assemble and deliver 1,600 holiday meals to families in need across the Greater Louisville region and Southern Indiana. Each box feeds a family of four and includes harm and various side items.

Volunteers in Action

Boxes of Love is a Metro United Way initiative that brings together volunteers from unions, community groups, and local businesses to support families in need during the holiday season. Volunteers will assemble 1,600 boxes containing hams and holiday sides, which will then be delivered to homes across the Greater Louisville region.

Since its launch, Boxes of Love has provided over 19,000 holiday meals, feeding more than 80,000 people in the Greater Louisville region and Southern Indiana. This year, all donations will go toward Metro United Way’s Hardship to Hope effort to lift 260,000 people in our seven-county region from hardship to hope by 2030.

For more than 100 years, Metro united Way has been improving lives and our community, which includes Jefferson, Bullitt, Oldham, and Shelby counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Indiana. They are uniquely positioned to harness the power of donors, volunteers, thought leaders, experts, other nonprofits, and government at all levels to ensure positive, sustainable change for every person in our seven-county region. Now more than ever, we are focused on these priorities: thriving kids, strong households, and an equitable community.
