On Sunday, May 19, 2019, Fourth Street Live! hosted the annual Clips for Kids event raising more than $58,000 to benefit the patients at the Children’s Cancer Institute at Norton Children’s Hospital.
Chili's Clip for Kids participants registered in advance and fundraised online before taking the big stage to have their hair clipped, trimmed, or shaved in solidarity with cancer patients. The event also featured the family-friendly Chili’s Fun Zone with games, crafts, and activities for the young ones!
Kids with cancer, in many cases, lose their hair. Chili's Clip for Kids is an opportunity for anyone to help show solidarity with these kids by getting a cut to raise awareness and help fight cancer locally
Cancer is the second most common cause of death among children aged 1-14 in the U.S. The first is accidents. That’s more than 10,000 children a year. Through the donations made during Clip For Kids, Norton Children’s Hospital is able to provide financial assistance, special programming, educational resources, equipment, and more for the children fighting cancer right here in our own community.
